– Essential Job Functions for Dietary Cook: Prepares all main dishes and accompaniments for all three meals that is palatable, attractive, and at the proper temperature.
Stores, handles and prepares food in accordance with Federal, State, and Local guidelines.
Measures and weights proportions as indicated by menu.
Operates all kitchen equipment.
Maintains Infection Control principles during food preparation, storage and delivery.
Additional Duties: Assists in performing cleaning and sanitation.
Assists in Supervisory duties as needed.
Observes trays to maintain therapeutic diets prescibed by the attending physician.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for Cook: High School diploma or GED.
Ability to read and understand applicable dietary documents and emergency procedures.
Sufficient verbal and written communication skills to perform tasks required.
