Carmel Country Club has an exciting job opportunity for a full time Pastry Assistant in our busy Kitchen.
Our food and beverage operation is critical to our success and pastry is a very important part of that operation.
The Pastry Shop prepares sweet items, cakes, pastries, chocolates, fruit compotes, ice creams and sorbets according for our members in both a la carte dining, as well as for our banquet events.
In this role the Pastry Cook will assist our Pastry Chef in producing all items for pastry.
The assistant will have creative freedom working beside the pastry chef by helping create menus, recipes, and executing high end events for our membership.
We are in search of individuals who have the ability to demonstrate a good sense of esthetics, decorate and produce product within the quality standard, can work closely with standard recipes, have a neat and clean work ethic, and are able to execute wedding cakes in the absence of the Pastry Chef.Cooking school or culinary institute education are required, or relevant experience plus a minimum of two years of baking experience.This position is paid $17.00 per hour.Benefits include full medical coverage including health, dental and vision, paid time off, 401k and complimentary meals daily.
