Through our food, our service and our spirit, we are offering an experience that seeks to inspire.Join us in moving the Bamboo Sushi mission forward through: Actively assisting fellow team members in meeting the needs of guests Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling Maintaining friendly, helpful, and positive attitude while at work Approaching interactions with co-workers and guests in a respectful & solution-oriented manner Answering questions and making recommendations about food, beverage, and sustainability practices Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages Additional duties may apply specific to each position.Opportunities to learn and grow as a Sushi Chef!Sushi Chefs at Bamboo Sushi work with the kitchen and FOH teams to ensure consistent and timely preparation of ingredients & sushi bar menu items.Sushi Chefs will progress through three stations, dependent on skill level:* Roll case: focus on vegetable prep, making sushi rice, and mastering the production of our sushi rolls* Front case: focus on fish breakdown, developing expertise of fish cuts, mastering the production of nigiri and sashimi, creating omakase experiences for guests, interacting with guests sitting at sushi bar* Wheel: focus on organizing orders coming in with those in production, also making sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimiWhat you bring to the table: 1 or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred Working knowledge and/or exposure to dining room and service standards, procedures, and functions preferred Knowledgeable in proper food and drink handling & storage Attention to detail Calm and respectable demeanor Solution-oriented perspective Experience using TOAST or other point of sale software Sushi Chefs: 1-2 years culinary experience or culinary education preferredHealth, Wealth, and Happiness:Flexible SchedulesCompetitive Wages, Incredible TIPS!Great Benefits, including Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, & Vision) options, Employee Assistance ProgramEmployee DiscountsOpportunities for Advancement and Education within the CompanyWe strive to create a culture that is inclusive and diverse.
