This is a Full-time position in Tacoma, WA posted January 5, 2022.

Function: Prepare meals for residents and staff.

Ensure the goals and objectives of the dietary programs are implemented.

Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs.

Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks for residents and staff.
Ensure cleanup of meals and snacks.
Implement the goals and objectives of the dietary program.
Consult regularly with dietitian to ensure that food services comply with dietary program.
Maintain sanitary conditions that comply with State and Federal regulations.
Comply with USDA reports.
Count silverware, dishes, and cups, and report missing items to clinical staff as directed.
Consult with dietitian to ensure that food service complies with therapeutic diets.
Prepare individual meals on disposable dishes as directed for isolation.
Comply with agency and program policies and procedures.
Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained.
Coordinate work as needed with other staff.
In addition to the above, perform other duties as assigned.

All new hires will be required to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Five years’ experience as a hot food cook.
Experience with USDA School Breakfast/Lunch Program, planning, and documentation.
Demonstrated ability to work with mentally ill individuals.
Current Food Handler’s Permit.
Ability to relate well with children, youth, and families.
Effective verbal communications skills.
Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize deadlines, work independently, take initiative, and maintain confidentiality.
