The Role
This position will serve as the WIM Diverse Segments Chief Admin Officer to lead, manage and support the WIM diversity strategies, initiatives, programs, complex processes, change management and other activities in support of growing and managing the WIM Diverse Segment business.  Serving as a trusted advisor to the Head of WIM Diverse Segments and the broader WIM Diverse Segment leadership team, this role will play an integral role in developing the overall strategy & vision for this newly formed team.  Identify trends and issues and leverage internal & external partnerships to create innovate solutions to unique issues facing diverse segment audiences.

The executive will be engaged in driving all aspects of running the business including planning, resource procurement, planning & execution, risk mitigation, process improvement and decision making.  Will represent the Head of WIM Diverse Segments in key committees and meetings and serve as a back-up.  

The role will work directly and effectively with the other CAOs within WIM and across the firm to collaborate on common goals and initiatives.  This executive will build strong partnerships with business leaders within WIM and other LOB Diverse Segment and Diverse Segments Representation and Inclusion (DSRI) subject matter experts and peers to leverage existing resources, prioritize and ensure overall alignment to deliver best in class results.  This role will act as the primary liaison for DE&I initiatives with internal functions and projects supporting the business, including:  Technology, Compliance, Legal, Corporate Real Estate, Business Continuity, Human Resources, Recruiting, Marketing, and Communications.

The Candidate
The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of business drivers and processes and be an effective influencer that has credibility with business leaders and able to offer credible challenge as needed.   This includes being action-oriented with demonstrated ability to bring about consensus in a highly matrixed environment.  Must have demonstrated experience in building strong partnerships with a wide variety of audiences and stakeholders across the enterprise and be adept at creating innovate solutions that align to the needs of multiple groups. This role is highly visible and will provide the executive with the opportunity to help transform WIM into a simpler, better, faster and more diverse future state.

This leader must be an exceptional leader and will be recognized for accomplishments related to hiring, retaining, and developing a world-class staff. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability and will have strong interpersonal effectiveness. Leadership, relationship management, and credibility will be determining factors in selection.

A successful candidate will have a passion for learning at a rapid pace to quickly understand the complexities of the various products and capabilities, and to further understand the diverse customer needs and connectivity points with partners.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in a strategic, senior leadership role

Other Desired Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of banking, capital markets or financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing short and long-range strategic plans and
  • Proven ability to cultivate strong relationships and business development initiatives across multiple lines of business.
  • Ability to make difficult decisions, knowing when to ensure buy-in and when to exercise independent discretion and assuming accountability.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority, build consensus and influence people at all levels of the organization.
  • Create and manage large-scale change initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of Wealth and Investment Management business lines, products and services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing differentiated financial products and service offerings that are targeted to the various diverse customer segments.
  • Proven ability to drive culture change among client coverage teams by instilling confidence in the ability to drive better client outcomes and deliver a superior client experience through cross-WIM and cross-Enterprise partnerships.
  • Experience in relationship management and proven leadership skills, with conflict management, negotiation and organizational effectiveness techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage effectively in a heavily matrixed organization with a high degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
  • Proven success recruiting, inspiring, developing, coaching and motivating team members through balanced leadership with a focus on engagement.
  • Ability to communicate powerfully and prolifically to senior and executive leaders.
