Relocate to Austin, TX Whole Foods Market is looking for a passionate and innovative Senior Software Development Engineer with deep expertise in Kronos Timekeeping to join our Timekeeping and Workforce Planning Technology Team.
This team is a critical enabler to ensuring WFM HR technology scales quickly and efficiently.
We partner with Team Member Services to transform HR technology; with Legal to ensure compliance and risk reduction; Workforce planning to refine and scale our predictive labor model; and with Whole Foods onAmazon teams as we rapidly experiment and scale with non-traditional labor models.
The volume of transactions and range of experiences to fulfill in this scale and diversity are large and unique and require a highly reliable and scalable set of custom (1p) and third party (3p) software applications.
WFM has grown significantly since the initial deployment of Kronos and Workday and we are now at an inflection point where we are making changes to Kronos to better support scaled business processes.
There also continues to be an influx of technology change requests to support legal and compliance related requirements.
As a Senior Software Development Engineer focused on Timekeeping Technology, you will be key to maintaining and further utilizing our current investment in Kronos and in the introduction of custom-built systems.
Projects you will support could range from re-implementing specific features and standardizing timekeeping solutions across WFM to deep integration with Amazon systems to provide a seamless employee experience.
You will also resolve technical issues and provide recommendations and guidance to business teams on system capabilities.
You will adhere to established technical best practices, manage standards and documentation, and own the technical specifications for related systems.
You must have an established background in delivering solutions for Timekeeping, strong technical skills, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, and a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
You must be someone who can prioritize well, be a self-starter, communicate clearly and compellingly, handle multiple detailed requests at time, and you must be someone who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence within a team.
Must have documentation skills to write, publish and distribute technical documents, including user manuals, workbooks, reference guides, release notes, interface documents for software applications/hardware.
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to building a best-in-class Timekeeping system that meets end user needs Design, solution, implement, test, and document software applications, tools, systems and services Understand business requirements and design and configure Kronos Timekeeping, Attestation, Schedule Attestation and other modules to develop state-of-the-art systems that meet needs Provide thought leadership and collaborate to create and implement technical vision for the team Cultivate engineering and operational excellence through metrics, knowledge transfers, and continuous learning Learn and grow and mentor others to take on increasingly higher responsibilities Establish cost and time estimates for project development and implementation Advise business teams on technology capabilities and limitations Provide maintenance and support for Timekeeping and Labor Scheduling applications Lead/participate in testing processes to ensure that system changes meet business needs BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 4 years experience planning, designing and configuring Kronos 2 years administration experience in Timekeeping that includes configuration of payrules and hyperfinds 2 Experience leading requirements gathering workshops 4 Experience with complete software development/deployment lifecycle analyze, design, build, test, implement, and support 3 Experience with unit and regression testing 1 Experience working in an Agile environment Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Math or equivalent work experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience working in Grocery or Retail Experience working with Workforce Integration Manager (WIM) At Whole Foods Market, we provide a fair and equal employment opportunity for all Team Members and candidates regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, age, marital status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic.
