A vision turned reality, Madrona Recovery prides itself on resiliency and trauma informed care.
Our youth residential mental health and addiction center is a beautiful new 21 bed, intensive short-term facility located in Tigard, Oregon.
Our programming is centered around skill building in emotional regulation, resiliency, and conflict resolution, with a framework of intentional healing relationships as a strategy for long-term recovery.
Our goal in the present is to help heal from the past to lay the path for a better future.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT:
The Wellness Department is the most interactive department here at Madrona.
Our work is focused on the residential care which includes all things involving daily routines, engaging in meaningful 1 on 1’s, and setting a positive model for clients.
Wellness Counselors are the staff who are with clients around the clock, and Wellness Coordinators are the leaders ensuring safe and smooth operations of the facility.

Swing Shift Coordinator can expect to work either four 10 hour shifts, or three 12’s.
Must have flexible scheduling and weekend availability is required
There is a weekly Leadership meeting scheduled that includes Leadership Development Trainings, Weekly Agenda Items, and an additional training that is facilitated throughout the week for Wellness Counselors.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Our Wellness Coordinators play a vital role in facility operations by leading our Wellness Counselors and running the floor
You will be expected to model open communication and safety standards while ensuring your team is reflecting these practices
Rapport building with our youth is a fundamental expectation
You’ll be expected to maintain accurate and detailed documentation
Our Coordinators ensure smooth operations on the units while engaging in pro social relationships with our youth
You will be responsible for the safety and wellness of the youth and staff by ensuring proper safety procedures are followed.
Excellent communication is essential in successfully overseeing the unit
You’ll be expected to work collaboratively with your Supervisor as well as all NOC staff
Isn’t bothered by interruptions and is be able to efficiently move from one task to another
Strong leadership skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure
Using motivational skills you’ll inspire and empower a vision for the work unit under your supervision
Expected to take lead in crisis situations
Initial training includes Onboarding week followed several shadow shifts where you’ll gain institutional knowledge and operational practices.
This exciting role also provides the opportunity for ongoing trainings in essential areas such as communication skills, mental health, crisis intervention, addiction and recovery, and many more that are essential for any career in Social services!
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a behavioral health related field is required.
At least one year supporting adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse issues.
Residential treatment or hospital setting is a plus!
At least 1.5 years leadership experience in a related field.
Effective multi tasking
Documented Abstinence under independent living conditions for a minimum of 2 years.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must pass a drug screening
Criminal background check (conviction of violent crime or crime involving youth is an immediate disqualifier)
