Welder-2nd Shift

SECOND SHIFT 1:20PM 9:50PM M-F An entry-level welding position with the welder having 1-2 years of applicable welding experience in the trade.

He/She works under direct supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities Ability to identify and repair flaws in most metal objects at a basic level.

Frequently analyzing and solving basic problems.

Education: One to two years of welding experience.

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Has an understanding of metallurgy and a basic knowledge of weld symbols and print interpretation.

Has some TIG & MIG experience Able to weld steel over a quarter of an inch thick, and tack weld steel as required prior to robotic welding.

Aptitude for analyzing and solving basic problems.

Ability to interpret basic prints.

Ability to follow verbal instructions Use of hand tools including sanders, grinders, and industrial welding equipment.

Ability to work standing or sitting for an 8 hour shift.

Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

May need to be moving parts that weigh 50lb from one location to another throughout the day.

Eye, ear, and glove protection required at all times.
