VP of Operations

Our client is seeking a VP of Operations with expertise in commercial construction.

This highly important role will be responsible for the direction and performance of field operations and construction management for assigned project(s), ensuring work is performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements.

Principal areas of responsibility are safety, cost estimating, schedule, construction operations, quality, staffing, material control, field-based procurement, client relations, business development, and integrated project delivery.

Single or multiple project assignments may be required.

Additional duties will include:

• Managing all facets of project management (budget, schedule, procurement, quality & risk) for projects including planning, design, construction, occupancy and closeout.
• Interfaces directly with clients to define project requirements.

  Prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, cash flow, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.

• Tracking progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines.

  Reports status and variances.

  Creates action plans to meet objectives, budget and schedule.

• Demonstrates ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required

Commercial Construction Experience: 7 years
