VP of Operations

nn What you will do nn nnThe Vice-President of Operations is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing both strategic advancement and day-to-day performance of 10-20 plants within a regional footprint; this leader will guide a total headcount of 3,000-8,000 employees and a total conversion cost of $225-$500M.nn nnThe incumbent will be responsible for aligning the people, processes, measurements, standards, and efforts across assigned sites with the primary focus areas of safety, delivery, quality and cost.  In addition, they have direct input and responsibility to support implementation of manufacturing consolidations, materials & logistics, business continuity plans, S&OP, AME, ERP and JCMS for their assigned footprint.nn nnThe incumbent is also fully accountable for creating an inclusive and positive organizational culture while developing a strong bench of leader talent and the pipeline below that is prepared to take on larger assignments is diverse in representation, background/experience and thought.nn nn How you will do it nn Senior Executive responsible forday-to-day operational performance: Quality, Safety, Delivery and Cost and all associated standard work.

Identify and execute through the operations teams specific solutions to delivery challenges or customer issues; includes having the implementation plan to remedy existing challenges with detailed expected outcomes based in current and accurate data  Development and execution of 5-10 year strategic plans advancing the plants capability/capacity and efficiency through the planning and execution of plant transformation roapmaps.

Ensure necessary support to each plant ensuring One Company, One Process  Creates focused lean regional team for training and execution; through word and action develops an organization that embraces lean and actively improves the operations through the use of appropriate lean methodologies and tools  Ensures proper capital assessment, request and productive implementation  Coordinates with PBU Operations team to effectively implement manufacturing continuous improvements  Works closely with the PBU VP/GM’s actively participating in the development of business unit strategies; reflects those strategies in the Operations strategic plans Raise the performance and talent level both above the plant and, through active engagement and leaders, at the plant level.  Mentors, coaches and trains throughout the operations organization.  Raise the engagement and organizational health within assigned region; creates an inclusive culture through role modeling, setting of expectations and action plans, monitoring and course correcting  Work with internal and external management and senior-level contacts to keep abreast of business needs and changes, understands and shares best practice/ new developments in the industry and operations domain for the purpose of achieving business goals and to support the smooth running of operations within the region.  Is an active and visible community participant; raising the awareness of our sites and their local impact while also increasing the positive impact the site has on the community.  Set same expectation for the leaders reporting into the organization.  Develops and maintains effective escalation management processes; Work closely with the COE and PBU Operations leaders to advance Quality, AME, JCMS, and other key operational disciplines.  Engages actively with internal stakeholders when critical issues arise in the same during the course of day-to-day operations.

Senior Executive with P&L responsibilities (preferred) and past functional expertise within Operations, Material Control, Advanced Manufacturing Engineers and/or Quality Leadership experience with a sizeable multidisciplinary team; demonstrated ability to lead a large a complex organization in a multi-site construct Solid understanding of business planning processes and key business metrics to be achieved Must possess strong leadership abilities and the demonstrated ability to develop and talented and diverse team
