Description
Identify and secure new multifamily real estate development opportunities for new construction and acquisition /rehabilitation Leverage relationship with debt, equity, and gap financing institutions toward benefitting Wallick’s economic interest in projects.
Coordinate and oversee communication with state agencies on all issues related to tax credit compliance, soft funding agreements and environmental reviews.
Develop effective relationship with attorneys, lenders, equity providers, appraisers, environmental consultants, market study firms, etc.
to negotiate fee and scope of services in the assembly of development teams.
Work with Development Manager and construction team on the engagement of the project surveyor and architect/engineer; negotiate fee and scope of services for surveys and site plans.
Plan, coordinate and execute mentoring of Development Manager as it relates to their career path growth and knowledge Coordinate with Director of Development for monthly project review meetings and monthly financial / budget review meetings.
Pay attention to new business opportunities for the company; keep abreast of issues affecting the tax credit environment in the company’s target markets.
Effective representation of Wallick and Investor’s at City Council, Planning Commission and BZA meetings for re-zonings, variance hearings, etc.
Oversee/coordinate City funding commitments, from soft commitment to application to procurement of loan docs for Investor’s attorney Participate in annual review of the corporation’s strategic plan.
Provide input and feedback as appropriate.
Profile
Bachelor’s degree in related field (engineering, construction management, architecture, real estate development).
Minimum of fifteen (15) years professional experience; specifically in multifamily real estate development.
