Veterinary Apprentice

This is an entry-level job for those with an interest in veterinary medicine but who lack experience. This has been the entry point of many of our employees who have gone on to either veterinary school or technician school.

Hours: Flexible and we can work around a school schedule. These can be ½ day shifts or full-day shifts.

Pay: Depending on experience from $10-13/hour.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities we will train you on will include:

1. Hands-on restraint of animals for triage and treatment.
2. Cleaning and keeping the office and treatment rooms stocked with supplies.
3. Doing the laundry.
4. Helping process lab requests.
5. Packaging up samples.
6. Collecting some samples.
7. Operating our in-house lab equipment.
8. Filling mediations properly.
9. Entering charges for patients.
