– 5:00 PM Type: Contract to Hire based on job performance and budget Assignment duration: No scheduled end date, open ended contract Benefits during the contract period: https://bit.ly/3uXokX2 Hiregy Associate perks: https://bit.ly/38aBuGw Job duties: * Advocate on behalf of the veterans and their family to access federally funded and private organizations to meet basic and related service needs* Screen and conduct Veterans for safety and risk through a comprehensive, person-centered screening in accordance with best practices* Conduct comprehensive need and service assessment.* Coordinate care plan with veterans and their family* Provide follow-up and monitor connections to service delivery* Compare correspondence, case notes, narratives, and technical reports, notifications, and related documents using computer-based applications* Model the attributes of respect, trust, sensitivity and confidentiality to callers, volunteers and coworkers* Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training and team meetings* Attain certification as a Recovery Peer Specialist within 18 months of hire.* Build and maintain relationship with respect, trust, sensitivity, and confidentiality to callers, volunteers, coworkers, and community stakeholders.* Serve and participate in national, state and local meetings, committees, community activities and outreach events as required.* Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training and team meetings* Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.* Follow all organization’s policies, practices, and procedures.* Must be flexible for other duties as assigned: As an associate you may be required to cross-train across roles/departments with similar job duties, or assist with other business needs as required Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree or currently seeking with major course work in social work, psychology or other field closely related field.* U.S.

veteran of a branch of the United States Military Forces including the Coast Guard and National Guard (retired or reservist) required* Copy of DD-214 required as proof of military service required* Experience working with the veteran population highly desirable.* Health and human services background preferred.* Experience with federal, state and local government benefit programs preferred.* Level II background check required Environmental Factors/Physical Demands: Work is performed in an office environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have the ability to maintain active customer and employee communication; access, input and retrieve information from the computer system; enter alpha-numeric data into a computerized system often while listening on the telephone.

May be subject to repetitive motion such as typing, data entry and vision to monitor.

May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting if assigned to any special projects with physical paper file maintenance.
