Are you entrepreneurial and looking to do more than just validate? We are looking to hire a Validation Engineer to help develop our growing Services Division. The services division is responsible for developing and executing on the processes, specifications, documentation, other protocols related to facility mapping, validation, installation, and other services Dickson offers. Once hired, this individual will create our protocol templates and will be interfacing with customers in a wide variety of industries including Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, Food, Manufacturing, and other industries where manufacturing, development, storage, and supply chain environments are highly regulated. In this position, you will get exposure to many different types of facilities as you visit client sites throughout the U.S. This is a unique opportunity to join an entrepreneurial environment where you will have much input into the growth strategy of this business unit. This position reports to the Director of Services.
Responsibilities
- Author IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation for internal and external customer validation projects.
- Author and lead mapping projects for internal and external projects.
- Lead project management of both internal and external validation projects and bring them to completion in the expected timeframe
- Author and execute equipment validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ) on environmentally controlled equipment/rooms such as refrigerators, freezers, stability chambers, walk-in coolers, or warehouses
- Author and execute software validation protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple projects that may include Mapping Studies, Validations, Installations, Implementations, and Training customers.
- Ability to effectively communicate project scope and timelines for internal and external customers.
- Become the subject matter expert regarding validation of our products and customer equipment
- Assist other departments (e.g. sales/marketing/operations) in better understanding of validation and compliance issues surrounding validation.
- Leverage customer communication to expedite the growth of the business unit
- Ensure our customers’ success with diligent support, response, and service
- Install and Implement Dickson and Oceasoft software platforms (e.g DicksonOne or Oceaview) by assisting customers in setting up hardware and configuring software parameters (locations, users, alarms, reporting).
- Train customers on Dickson or Oceasoft software/hardware platforms (e.g DicksonOne or Oceaview) to ensure they have successful user experience and knowledge required to effectively operate our software platforms.

- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs.) on an occasional basis, when moving or relocating equipment on service jobs.

- Required to have reliable transportation, for possible travel locally to client sites.
- Ability to fly to customer sites that are out of state or country.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in the pharmaceutical, medical device, or FDA regulated environments is a nice to have.
- Some working knowledge of cGMPs and familiarity with FDA regulations (21 CFR part 820, 210/211, part 11) is a nice to have.
- Some general knowledge of drafting and executing validation protocols.
- IT technical skills such as the ability to network PCs, printers, and devices.
- 3+ yrs. of installation experience and must have experience with using hand tools (e.g. power drills, screwdrivers, hammers, pliers)
- Must have the ability and be comfortable driving skylifts or forklifts.
- Ability to easily convey technical aspects to a non-technical audience
- Willingness to travel approximately 40-50% of the time to client sites.
- Ability to travel domestically in contiguous U.S. or Internationally.
- Must have valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Real ID and/or Passport
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel mostly used) and Google tools (Doc, Sheets, Presentation)
- Associates Degree in Technical field with commensurate experience or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
