The primary area of responsibility in this position is to test new and existing software functionality through the use of manual testing methods.
The UAT Testing Analyst will analyze business requirements and use cases in order to develop, create, modify, and execute test plans and cases to verify software development against the application requirements.
This role will actively participate in the requirements, procedure writing, training and communication processes.
The candidate will also continue to be an active contributor in the business unit to continue to keep current on their skills and knowledge of the business needs and requirements. They will support their business unit(s) during implementation and orientation of system and/or procedural changes.
This role will support business and technology modernization and transformation efforts and project. Candidates should enjoy working on complex, change-oriented projects that will impact the profitability of the Bank. Team members are expected to contribute with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.

Create and execute manual test cases for projects and maintenance release changes that thoroughly test the functionality to minimize post implement system issues.
Ability to understand and ensure adequate test coverage for functional, regression, positive and negative testing.
Actively contribute to process refinement and documentation.
Adequately and accurately test bug fixes.
Ability to report testing results including gaps and/or bugs in a concise and thorough manner.
Assist other testers or business team members performing testing to ensure thorough and accurate test results.
Keep business unit(s) aware of coming changes and testing status.
Participate in checkpoint meetings with UAT participants during execution; meetings will entail discussion of defects found, responding to test concerns and demonstrating key functions of the release.
Using the organization’s application manage and track defects found in UAT testing and ensure defect traceability to requirements.
Understanding of Business Requirements and Functional Requirements with the ability to translate requirements into test cases.
Conducts application demonstrations of existing and new functionality.
Understand and follow appropriate business and IT testing protocols, processes and procedures.
Understand the project methodology being utilized on a given project and how and when your role contributes to the project.
Ability to Identify, understand and communicate broader business impact of project changes and/or issues discovered.
Ability to analyze, propose (and/or escalate for resolution) and document appropriate solutions for problems and issues discovered during testing and/or other phases of a project where you are engaged.
Ability to review business requirements and ensure they clearly reflect the business need(s).
Participate in the requirements process as a business subject matter expert for your respective area(s).
Actively participate in gathering, understanding and documenting business, functional and technical requirements.
Ability to articulate the workflow processes at all levels for process mapping.
Assist in articulating and writing procedures, job aids and communications.
Assist (or may lead) training on system and/or process changes Provides input to the Project Manager for timeline, critical dependencies. Continue to perform functions in business unit to remain a business SME, assist the business unit with volume and continually learn a broader scope of knowledge of the business unit functions and processes. Maintain expert-level knowledge of business unit processes, procedures, systems, workarounds, issues/concerns, industry impacts and guidelines.
Participate in business unit meetings to maintain business knowledge.
Complex use of MS Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel (MS Access would be a plus) tools.
Accountabilities:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have in depth knowledge of their respective business unit(s). Applicants must be proficient users of the systems needed to perform business unit activities HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent Bachelor’s degree preferred 3-5 years of experience Performs testing in the following areas: Delegated, Full Audit Review, Submission Review and Underwriting (at the Underwriter 2 or Team Lead level) Requires in-depth knowledge and experience Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions Works independently; receives minimal guidance Previous testing experience, a strong plus Understanding of IT development and implementation projects, a plus Outstanding organizational skills.

Must have extremely strong listening and problem solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, as well as documentation skills.
Ability to present complex topics in an understandable way.
