Primary Function Performs testing tasks and execution in assigned functional areas according to established test plans and schedules.

Configures desktop computer hardware, software and firmware as required for testing.

Performs tasks to assist other test technicians and test engineers.

Actively involved in defect finding trouble shooting, reporting and verification, suggesting root causes reporting test results.

Operates under general supervision Primary Responsibilities Maintain firmware tests for new and old projects Execute tests Analyze test results and take appropriate action Track potential defects and issues from a find state to resolution Communicate status and results to Management Prepare and maintain test documentation Cross-train in testing for resource sharing.

Identify opportunities for best practices and process improvements.

Minimum Requirements Education Typically 2 years of technical education or 2 years of hands on experience or equivalent combination Experience 2 yrs.

of experience working with computer and printer hardware 1 yrs.

of experience working in test lab environment 1 yrs.

of experience working with defect management systems (ctms, dms, dims, etc.) reflecting intermediate-level knowledge Skills Basic understanding of a programming or scripting language Intermediate knowledge of -Windows -Networking Intermediate understanding of computer hardware Able to work a fulltime schedule with flexible hours, and flexible shifts Able to learn quickly and adapt to change Able to work cooperatively in a team environment Strong analyticaltroubleshooting skills Strong oral and written communications skills
