Technology Team Leader

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 

  •  Will interface with plant staff & associated technology teams & will report to Manager, Production & Manager, Quality & Technology to improve production best practices & drive strategy.          
  •  Focus upon extrusion principles, technical engineering, & compliance with customer & federal standards regarding quality & uniformity in production.               
  •  Audit, analyze & make recommendations to ensure systems & processes are followed & to solve for issues related to products quality & uniformity.                .
  •  Lead & monitor activities that result in product achieving capability, waste, government/environmental standards.     
  •  Establish specifications & calibration standards foe equipment (extruder, calendar, curing bladders, etc.) & provide technical expertise as needed.       

Education and Certifications

  • Required – Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Desired – Master’s Degree

Experience

  • 5-7 years technical leadership within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a union environment.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Technical knowledge related to equipment processes & operation of equipment.
  • Knowledge of customer requirements related to product quality.
  • Must have strong communication, business analytical & planning skills.
  • Ability to manage a variety of concurrent projects.
