OEM Technical Assistance Service Engineer
– Located in Plano, TX Assist dealership service technicians in troubleshooting technical problems at an OEMs On-Demand Contact Center.
Combine your experience and repair knowledge with an expansive database to provide the latest fix information to dealership technicians via phone.
Regularly collaborate with other service engineering teams to diagnose and provide the most accurate information to Fix It Right the First Time.
Additional responsibilities may also include acting as a liaison with product engineering, publication and other service engineering personnel to resolve various service issues.
Required Skills: Must have hands-on skills as an automotive service technician, dealership experience, diagnostic/repair skills, customer service skills, PC Skills ASE Certifications.
Toyota, Lexus or Scion hands on dealership experience Responsibilities: Answering 30-40 inbound calls daily from different component groups such as Hybrid, Powertrain, Electrical, Body, and Chassis Providing diagnostic and troubleshooting tips and resolution to dealership technicians Updating and escalating cases to Tier II personnel, product engineers, and Field Technical Specialists on product quality concerns and issues Assist in shadowing and mentoring new hire Tier I.
(once fully trained and working to production standards) Required Skills and Experience: Equivalent combination of Education and experience 1-3 years’ dealership experience Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word) Internet Browsers Working knowledge of product warranty, policies & procedures Demonstrate ability to interface with Dealer Technicians via phone, email and written communication Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written) Diagnostic skills Preferred Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college or university 1-3 years’ experience within a client retail or complaint resolution environment ASE Master Certification OEM Master Certification 5-10 years exp.
