The George Washington University School of Business (GWSB)invites applications for a Teaching Assistant Professor position(non-tenure-track, special service faculty position in Management)starting in Fall 2022.
The candidate is expected to teach in the domains ofentrepreneurship, human resources management, and leadership at theundergraduate and graduate levels, both in-person and online. Weare growing our course offerings and therefore have a great degreeof flexibility and options regarding teaching domains (e.g.,Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, New VentureInitiation, Creativity & Innovation, Family Business, SocialEntrepreneurship, Tourism, Event Management and Sustainability)both at the undergraduate and graduate levels. We also have a highdemand for courses in Human Resources with a focus on leadershipand talent management (e.g., Human Capital in Organizations). Thisposition requires 18 credits (six-course teaching load).
Applicants for this position must have completed allrequirements for the Ph.D. (or other terminal) degree in managementor a closely related field by the date of appointment. Applicantsmust have a teaching record that demonstrates excellence.
The GWSB Department of Management is committed to rigorous andhigh-impact teaching and research. We have 16 full-time faculty whoteach and research organizational behavior, human resources,entrepreneurship, and tourism/hospitality/sport management. Thedepartment provides a highly collegial environment with solidpedagogical support. Management faculty research has appeared intop-level academic journals and is featured frequently by mediaoutlets.
