Systems Analyst

We are currently sourcing for a Systems Analyst o work in Merrimack, New Hampshire.

The Role

• Lead the requirements’ gathering of new features and/or enhancements for our institutional financial services portal.
• Collaborate with technology and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions for business problems.
• Bring curiosity and a questioning mind-set to work, asking always about the? why? and the? value? of new features/enhancements to the platform.
• Contribute to enhancing systems analysis practices across a distributed team.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BS or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics
• 5+ years of Analysis skills, with a proven track record of delivery of sophisticated technology projects.
• Good interpersonal, relationship management, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with business and technical team members across the organization.
• Experience with JIRA
• Ability to write complex system/technical diagrams
• Ability to read/analyze code and logs for defect/incident triage and root cause analysis
• Experience with writing database queries, KDB/Q code is a plus
• Experience with financial systems, equity and options trading is a plus
• Ability to quickly learn, adapt and strive to meet the needs of a fast paced, changing environment
• Ability to multi-task effectively
• Expert knowledge and experience of taking complex features and breaking them into clear and concise stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with minimum viable product definition and product backlog management.
• Ability to comprehend and articulate end-to-end system workflows.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate impediments appropriately.
• Ability to establish and maintain trusted relationships with business partners and technology.
• Experience detecting scope changes and partner concern of issues.

The Team

In the Fidelity Brokerage Technology group, the team is responsible for providing electronic trading solutions for Fidelity’s Capital Markets division. This is a hands-on role as an individual contributor and responsibilities include technical leadership, insight, and mentoring to peers
