The Patient Access Representative is the first point of contact for patients entering the facility. The Patient Access Representative’s responsibilities include accurately collecting patient demographics, preparing admission and discharge documentation, explaining policies and procedures, and handling patient queries, concerns, and complaints. The Patient Access Rep will work with clinical staff to ensure each patient is treated professionally, with the highest level of customer service and respect.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: Minimum of two years of face to face customer service experience is required. High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college is preferred Experience providing customer service to patients and their families is preferredKNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to incorporate excellent customer service skills in dealing with patients, personnel, physicians, and peers. Must be self-driven and possess the ability to work in teams with minimal daily supervision. Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
