Description Provide technical leadership for the team, emphasizing Supplier Characteristic Improvement/change point management and minimal impact to Honda. Work to identify areas for technical growth within the team, and develop strategies to achieve group/dept objectives. Guide the team and manage the day-to-day technical operations, including part analysis and problem-solving of complex issues. Take lead on top impact issues and drive supplier characteristic improvement activities. Clearly share issues with dept, plant, and divisional leadership by use of multiple presentation methods.Drive characteristic improvement at suppliers and mentor associates on developing their knowledgeServe as a technical expert in the area of responsibility, sharing knowledge formally and informally with others. Cross apply knowledge by communication to other HDMA plants.Build advanced technical and business knowledge within group/deptOversee and manage complex issues for the team to ensure quick and proper resolutionApply expertise in technical operations to impact decisions at Dept / Unit level Qualifications Four years Engineering degree or applicable work experience6-8 years of experience based on educationApplication of Honda PhilosophyUnderstand and apply company/regulation standards (Supplier Quality Manual (SQM), GQMS, QMS, FMVSS, etc.)Highly effective communication skills (verbal & written)Strong problem solving and decision-making skillsStrong understanding of characteristic weaknessesAbility to build consensus for key process improvements with different departments & groups
