Cortech is seeking a Materaial Handler in Huntsville, AL.
The job consists of all aspects of manufacturing NZP grains from crude crushing, sizing, inspecting, treating, packaging and finishing to shipment of products as required.
Job Duties:
–The job consists of all aspects of manufacturing NZP grains from crude crushing, sizing, inspecting, treating, packaging and finishing to shipment of products as required.
–Material handling, weighing, bagging, unloading, storage, and transfer. This will include product packaging in drums, bulk bags or paper bags as needed. It will require using various handling equipment as required. Operator will setup and operate baggers, totes, stands, etc
–Product blending by setup and operation of batch mixer following prescribed mix instructions
–Properly identify materials using production date, run number, batch number, size, material name, and status as applicable. Obtains, collects, transfers, weighs, and mixes materials, handling, unloading, storage and transfer of materials as required.
–Obtains, collects, transfers, weighs and mixes treatment materials/mixtures accurately. Weigh and mix raw materials accurately
–Building and/or repairing screens of mesh sizes
–Operator has overall responsibility for accuracy and recording of all weights and measures associated operations. Must be able to perform math skills to calculate time, weights, temperatures. This component of operation requires computer knowledge and ability to enter data into spreadsheets, databases, etc. to use the computer system and software to track materials received, used in mix, product shipments, and production data for inventory tracking (use computer system to track materials received used, production of batches, etc.).
–Area housekeeping and cleanup to include the proper disposition of spilled grain. Operator must complete a thorough clean-up of assigned area each shift. Operator must be able and willing to carry out written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision. Errors or deviation from accepted procedures and/or instructions must be reported immediately to the group leader.
–Perform all the duties in a safe, responsible manner in accordance with the Saint-Gobain EHS Charter, observing all Company and Government regulations. Observe and report all unsafe conditions to the Shift Leads. Comply with company policies and safety rules
–Responsible for conducting material sampling by riffling a plan under the stream to obtain a representative sample or harpooning a tote/batch.
–Perform LPD testing by using the LPD cylinder accurately and recording results.
