Sr. USSF Project Engineer, OPIR/MW/MT with Security Clearance

What You Will Be Doing * This position is the lead Aerospace technical support to the OPIR & MW/MT mission and capability area within Headquarters US Space Force.
* Providing DOD OPIR & MW/MT capabilities technical and analytic support, systems engineering services, and serve as the on-site HQ USSF site technical lead and liaison with SAF/SQS, SWAC, SpOC, STARCOM, SDA, USSF Space Systems Command, and other OPIR & MW/MT offices and stakeholders
* Supporting the USSF Chief Strategy & Resources, Chief Operations and Chief Technology Innovation as required for requirements development and validation as well as other relevant policy, strategy, planning, and programming tasks and processes to resource the OPIR MW/MT Force Design
* Providing timely and relevant responses to staff questions on technical and programmatic OPIR & MW/MT systems issues Provide technical support in the development of position papers and official responses to the CSO, VCSO, Congress, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and the Intelligence Community (IC)
* Building and sustaining value-additive and mission enabling strategic relationships with the OPIR & MW/MT community; including but not limited to Aerospace, FFRDCs, government and other representatives supporting partner customer organizations
* Coordinating closely with Aerospace personnel in other organizations to facilitate integration and cohesion across the OPIR & MW/MT and space warfighting enterprise.
* Building value added teams within Aerospace and with others.
Workplace location will vary between the Pentagon or Aerospace Crystal City facility; given the classified nature of this mission area telework will be minimal. What You Will Need To Be Successful: * Proactive, fast learner with the willingness and ability to work in a dynamic hi-visibility environment with routine engagement with the most executive levels of government and decision makers.
* Minimum of 8 years’ experience in OPIR & MW/MT system operations, and/or development/engineering, and/or program management.
* Experience in OPIR & MW/MT systems technologies, capabilities, acquisition, and an understanding of space and ground systems development.
* Current knowledge of OPIR & MW/MT system challenges and opportunities.
* Excellent full-spectrum communication and interpersonal skills; adept at written and oral communication spanning a wide range of levels of detail and communication media/processes.
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, or other technical discipline, and/or demonstrated experience within the OPIR & MW/MT mission area.
* Willing to travel
* Possession and ability to maintain TS/SCI security clearance as issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
How You Can Stand Out: * Advanced degree in engineering, mathematics, science, computer science, or other technical discipline.
* Familiarity with Department of the Air Force/National Security Space planning and processes. Working knowledge of Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) skills and capabilities.
* Previous experience working with organizations in the Pentagon.
* Experience working large, complex issues and the ability to break down problems into meaningful steps to accomplish with a team.
* Currently having Special Access Program (SAP) clearances.
