Sr. Quality Engineer

In this role you will be responsible for supporting Quality Engineering efforts across various development teams (Pods).

This role will be part of the test center of excellence in the Operator Technology Solutions group which includes restaurant systems like supply chain systems, food safety, labor management, kitchen production systems, etc.

This role requires strong testing skills and ability to define the test strategy across multiple Pods, select the proper automation tools and techniques, and implement a comprehensive test plan appropriate for various types of products and applications.

You will also serve the Quality champion and help with implementing best practices across verticals and mentor other resources.

This is an opportunity to work in the latest and greatest technical environments implementing projects in Agile Devops platforms in cloud-native environments that includes Kubernetes, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Internet-of-Things and more.

Responsibilities

• Leading all aspects of Testing various Applications : functions, components, system testing, performance testing, regression testing, API testing ,testing cloud enabled applications etc.

• Maintain and evolve formal QA Testing processes for software development Pods

• Provide oversight and input to all aspects of quality engineering including applying industry best practices, developing new testing solutions and methods, and establishing metrics

• Improve product quality by identifying, implementing, and using automated testing tools and frameworks

• Recommend testing tools and design test architectures (test automation frameworks, code libraries, etc.) and support POC

• Identify tools and technologies for implementation that align with business goals, present infrastructure, and solutions

• Manage test data

• Mentor junior team members on testing and automation best pratices

• Responsible for leading and directing work of SDETs in test automation

• Work with peer QA Leads to integrate testing solutions and test methodology across organization

• Work with development teams and product owners to identify and build complex End-to-End and functional test scenarios and collaboratively drive testing pratices across verticals

• Setup test environments, design test plans, develop test cases and scenarios, develop and maintain test data, drive automation and execute test cases

• Design, develop, and execute automated integration and end to end tests, as well as manual exploratory tests as needed for multiple projects

• Providing meaningful defect reports to varied audiences

• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, high-quality software

• Participate in test automation code reviews as an additional means to contribute to the quality of the software

• Perform code quality scans using SonarQube

• Proficient in test automation scripting like Java /Java Script/ Python and test frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, Applitools, etc.

• Integrate test automation with CI/CD pipeline

• Ability to achieve results as an individual contributor and through a team of quality engineers (staff and contractors)

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience working to identify and drive systemic root cause and corrective action utilizing quantitative, qualitative analytical capabilities to communicate and influence others in a concise, data driven manner

• Effective communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations to customers and executives

• Experience working with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), Scrum,Agile methodologies

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Familiarity with Agile principles as applied to software development

• Good interpersonal and team collaboration skills

• Ability to navigate through challenging situations, ensuring all parties are treated with honor, dignity, and respect

• Demonstrates the ability to value both relationships and results
