Sr. Executive Development Partner

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Senior Executive Development Partner directly assists in the development and execution of our Company’s leadership development programs for all levels of leadership, to include frontline supervisors through executive leaders.

All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental an MGM Resorts policies, practices and procedures. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the implementation, evolution, and maintenance of the Company’s leadership development programs at all levels; build strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive sponsorship and senior leadership engagement in leadership development programs, such as alumni, mentors, and speakers.
  • Primary point of contact for all property, regional, and corporate partners, serving as a direct liaison for all stakeholder needs related to leadership development programs; partner and consult with subject matter experts, leaders, HR partners, and key stakeholders to conduct needs analyses and continually evaluate, assess, and enhance leadership development programs to meet the needs of the business and align with the Company’s overall strategies.
  • Partner with the Talent Development team to design and develop course curriculum and materials, including facilitator guides, participant guides, and other learning materials required to meet the objectives of the leadership development programs and provide ongoing executive leadership development opportunities for participants to increase retention and engagement.
  • Continually evaluate and enhance the learning experience by making recommendations on leadership development program content, delivery, and support materials, including leadership development pre‐ and post‐course data for measurement of learning quality, participation, satisfaction, performance, and business impact. 
  • Measure, track, and report key metrics to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of leadership development programs; partner with the Learning Management System team to track, manage, and provide reporting on executive leadership development programs.
  • Oversee scheduling, enrollment, logistics, materials, and production teams for leadership development programs.
  • Perform other job‐related duties as requested.

SUPERVISION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years in a learning and development role or related experience with at least 1 year of experience managing leadership development program(s).

PREFERRED:

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Additional training or certification desired in areas such as instructional design, human performance/improvement/management, adult learning and contemporary learning theory and practices.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Licensure and/or registration for various states where we operate properties to be determined by Corporate Compliance and/or Legal Counsel
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong capabilities in public speaking, facilitation and communication skills to be leveraged in small and large group settings
  • Superior planning, project management, time management, communication, decision making, presentation, organization, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships of trust and confidence at all levels of the enterprise from line to executive level.
  • Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to articulate effectively and maintain a professional relationship with a diverse workforce
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, presentation presence, and judgment skills, and basic math skills.
  • Possess & utilize good working knowledge of computer software to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and/or equivalent
  • Possess knowledge of adult learning theories and methodologies with the ability to apply them in learning/leadership/technology and change management
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Possess effective time and project management skills, and work well both individually and as a member of a team
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well‐groomed appearance, adhering to MGM Resorts standards.

     Excellent customer service skills.

  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.
