Sr. Business Analyst

New Signature

This is a Full-time position in Washington, DC posted December 28, 2021.

Job Description We are expanding our team and looking for a Sr.

Business Analyst.

The ideal candidate will be key to assisting New Signature teams in providing solutions to business problems.

This position supports project initiatives including identifying and analyzing preliminary business needs, benefits, time and resource estimates, defining the project scope and objectives to meet strategic organizational goals.

As such this role also supports the definition of business cases and benefits tracking.

Experience working in Agile and data driven projects is key for this role.

Position Overview: Primarily, the Business Analyst (BA) will lead requirements gathering and management through workshop facilitation, product backlog grooming and continuous feedback loops with the customer and internal team.

The BA will have good knowledge and application of Use Cases, Process Maps, Data Flows and Diagrams and will have demonstrable experience with:
• Agile Methodologies
• User Stories/Journeys
• Working alongside Developers and Architects
• Experience in Cloud (ideally Microsoft) and Big Data projects Business Analysis – Lead requirements gathering activities, ensuring you and the client both agree on what it is you plan to deliver.

Regular grooming of the backlog to ensure appropriate level of detail is captured at the right time.

Agile – Planning and facilitation of the various Agile meetings and artifacts, including sprint planning, reviews & retrospectives, daily stand-ups & planning poker Team Management – Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.

Client Management – Primary contact point for requirements gathering and management (including acceptance), managing stakeholder expectations for project deliverables and communications, maintaining maximum customer satisfaction Qualifications:
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
• Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
• Strong knowledge of requirements gathering processes and analysis
• Ability to create and refine product backlogs and assist product owners to determine priorities
• Experience of working in agile teams using KANBAN and SCRUM delivery process frameworks
• Ability to agree effective acceptance criteria in collaboration with product owner
• Ability to facilitate Product Backlog Refinement sessions
• Support the Product Owner to generate the Product Roadmap/Horizon and keep updated
• Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools: ?

Agile Project Management tools such as TFS or equivalent ?

Microsoft Project, Visio, and all Office Tools
• Excellent oral and written communications skills and experience interacting with both business and IT individuals at all levels including the executive level
