Work activities will include: circuit simulation, lab testing of circuits, presentation of design expectations/results, and participation in design reviews.The candidate will work with a mentor and have the following job responsibilities: Module level EM simulations using HFSS/ADSModule level design and simulation for simulation vs measurement correlationTuning RF front end modules in lab (PA/LNA/PA/Filters/Switch)Evaluating RF parameters like S-parameters, Pout, PAE, ACLR, NF, IP3, P1dB etcImpedance tuning using Smith ChartValidation & characterizing performance across supply, temperature & frequencyCreating compliance matrix against spec, plotting results and presenting results summaryRequirementsAbility to start in July 2022 and work through November 2022. Must be currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering MS (preferred) or Ph.D. program.We will not consider students who have already graduated, Please apply the full time opening if you have graduated.Good understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability and Electromagnetic theoryGood circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX, HFSS and Cadence and ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance.lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting.A self-starter and team player with strong desire to learn on the job.
