Read on for more details about your new role.n nMission Lane’s Engineering Department is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join us as an early hire in a fast-growing startup conveniently located in San Francisco, California and in Richmond, Virginia.

If you are excited about building scalable, highly available systems, then this is the right role for you.n n As a Site Reliability Engineer with Mission Lane, you will:n Join the effort to grow and scale Mission Lane’s SRE practice Help implement systems and processes around incident management, observability, and reliability Engage in and improve the whole life cycle of services-from inception and design, through deployment and operations Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews Maintain services in a running state once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health Scale systems sustainability through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity n To set you up for success in this role from day one, Mission Lane is looking for candidates who have :n 3+ years of SRE experience Experience with cloud environments (AWS and GCP) and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform Experience with Kubernetes Experience with Prometheus Advanced knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems Proficient in Bash and Python Fundamental knowledge of computer networking n n You Get Bonus Points Forn Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Argo, and/or Flux Experience with Jaeger, FluentD, and/or Zipkin Experience with Gloo, Consul, and/or Nomad BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience If not local, be able to occasionally travel to other company locations (once public health guidance allows for it) n n At Mission Lane we strive to create a work environment that brings out the best in everyone every day.
