Shift Foreman

OverviewWe are a young and rapidly growing sand processing company located in rural North Dakota looking for the right person to add to our leadership team.

Operating in North Dakota since 2019, our plant is located near the town of Hazen, ND.

Asgard is seeking shift foremen to lead and manage a team of operators to maintain and operate a sand washing and sizing plant and a dryer.

This job will also include operating heavy equipment at times.

Successful applicants will be trained on the specific equipment utilized at the facility.ResponsibilitiesDirect the daily operations following a production plan.Manage a processing workforce of 5 peopleManage work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.Coordinate maintenance projects, service work, and repairs to ensure proper utilization and maintenance of all equipment so that costs and downtime are minimized, and all equipment is available when needed.Monitor and adjust machines and conveyors to maintain flow and quality of sandPerform emergency and routine maintenance on plant equipmentAssist with various construction projectsPerform assignments outlined by supervisionWork safelyWillingness to learn new skillsQualificationPrevious supervisory experience in a field or plant setting is requiredDemonstrated ability to manage a team to achieve production goalsPrevious mechanical or operating experience is preferred but not requiredAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to perform simple math calculationAbility to lift 50 lbs.
