Sensor Products Applications Specialist – can be based in Horsham, PA; Largo, FL or Peck, MI

Job ID: 20051 Position Description: This Sensors Products Applications Specialist will be a key technical advisor for the pressure products family in addition to providing technical support for the other Sensor products.

The responsibilities of this position will include day-to-day technical activities required to support the product line including technical support for the sales and customer service team, as well as support to the various product manufacturing sources.

This position will require the ability to be a customer-facing technical point of contact with the ability to gather and understand new customer requirements, and respond to existing customer issues and concerns.

The Application Specialist must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.

Must be able to identify all technical issues of assigned accounts to assure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

This position generates new business and ensures growth of existing accounts for Sensors Products by performing the following duties.

Other duties may be assigned: Sales Interface
• Provide technical guidance and product recommendations to sales and order entry.

• Interface with customers one-on-one (face-to-face or by phone) to discuss opportunities and answer technical question.

• Understand competitor products and capabilities.

• Create product documentation packages for quotes and orders.

• Generate drawings for customer approval
• Ability to read engineering drawings and spec sheets.

Technical Duties
• Continuously improve documentation process efficiencies.

• Train and update Service and Applications personnel on the selection, installation and maintenance of the pressure products.

• Manage product artwork from creation, through customer approval and production kick-off.

• Develop custom solutions based off standard product lines including: Defining materials to be used, estimating the cost based on existing products; arranging sample builds at the manufacturing location(s); and coordinating qualification testing at inside or outside labs.

• Manage and interpret the Agency certification requirements and resulting certificates (Underwriters’ Laboratory and Factory Mutual, ISO, CRN, REACH, RoHS, CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 65, etc.).

Manufacturing Interface
• Main technical interface in supporting multiple manufacturing locations throughout the supply chain.

• Oversee product validation testing process and validate results for acceptance.

• Sustaining engineering duties on standard product issues.

• Create and maintain new spec numbers, structuring of items, bills of material, and routing in Oracle.

Quality Process
• Coordinate quality issue resolutions through management, manufacturing and quality departments.

Job Requirements: Position Requirements:
• High School diploma required; Bachelors’ degree in either a business or technical field preferred
• Experience with CAD Tools and other related software tools.

Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

• Three or more years in similar industry
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to work effectively with all organizations within and out of the Business Unit
• Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple projects
• Strong relationship builder
• Self-motivated, able to work under little supervision
• Flexible, able to adapt to changing design requirements and easily transition between projects to meet priority.

• Able to travel approximately 10%.
