Job Description: Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment. Experience with Windows Server, or Linux systems to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods. Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). Perform OS server tuning to maximize system performance on both physical and virtual systems. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members and other tasks as assigned. Additionally, t his position will interact with internal and external users and customer entities and vendors to maintain system integrity and maintain security compliance requirements. PLEASE NOTE the required work schedule for this role is for Second Shift 3pm Midnight, a shift differential will be applied to the base salary once the selected individual is processed for starting this role . Minimum Required Skills / Certifications: Bachelor&39;s degree, preferably in IT or STEM related field, plus 4 years of directly related experience, or a Master degree plus 2 years of related experience. Those with no formal degree will be required to have an additional 8 years of directly applicable equivalent experience for a total of 12 years of experience. Experience in Windows Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening Experience with Solaris Operating System Experience with virtualization technologies and virtual computing methods Experience with patch management experience using Windows WSUS, SCCM, or other tool and experience with OS internals, file system structures, and machine architectures Experience with license managers in a Windows or Linux environment Experience with systems scripting to develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems Strong skills in leadership, communication (both oral and written), and troubleshooting Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Systems are operational 24×7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours and up to 10 % travel is required. This position requires an active US Secret Security Clearance, except in rare cases only US Citizens are eligible to receive US Govt Clearances.
