Key Role Responsibilities
– Core

SENIOR QUALITY SPECIALIST 
– CORE

THIS ROLE MAY REQUIRE EXTENSIVE TRAVEL AND WILL BE ON-SITE FULL TIME AT OUR FEDERAL JOB-SITE LOCATIONS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. 

  • Assists in planning, implementing and supervising the project quality program.
  • Utilizes basic understanding of project Contract Documents.
  • Provides coordination and oversight to the site-specific quality control plan.
  • Attends pre-planning, pre-installation and progress meetings.
  • Monitors subcontractors’ quality programs.
  • Conducts regular walk through observations of construction sites to ensure compliance with the contract documents, manufacturers’ instructions and industry standards.
  • Investigates non-compliant conditions; confers with supervisor or other Quality team staff members to determine root cause and provide recommendations in work processes to eliminate reoccurrence.
  • Utilizes internal quality assurance systems and tools to prepare reports for field superintendents, project managers and subcontractors detailing compliant and non-compliant quality conditions.
  • May conduct basic constructability reviews under direct supervision.

– FEDERAL PROJECT GROUP

Additional Responsibilities
– USACE Federal Quality Control

  • Assumes responsibility for conducting detailed constructability reviews and participates in page-turn review meetings.
  • Leads and manages project quality processes including work planning and the three phases of Quality Control (Preparatory, Initial and Follow-up).
  • Solicits input from others, provides complete and detailed Quality Control Daily Reports.
  • Documents in-place materials/work deficiencies and close out documentation for all QA and QC deficiencies.
  • Directs inspections, testing and documentation of the work.

    Schedules inspections and testing in coordination with field operations, trade partners, 3rd party special inspectors and client.

  • Develops, implements and maintains Project Specific Quality Control Plan including inspection and testing plan and other procedures as required.
  • Reviews/certifies all submittals prepared for the project prior to transmitting to the government.
  • Manages the client-based RMS (Resident Management System).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.
  • Communication skills, verbal and written (Intermediate).
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Intermediate).
  • Ability to read drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data (Intermediate).
  • Knowledge of material and field testing for QA processes (Intermediate).
  • Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems (Intermediate).
  • Proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction and quality software tools.
  • Knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work (Intermediate).
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.

Education

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Architecture, Construction Management or related field (Preferred).
  • In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

Experience

  • 5+ years construction quality-related experience (Required).
  • Current USACE QCM Certification and relevant building construction experience (Preferred).
  • 10+ years USACE experience (Preferred)
