We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Optical Design Engineer to join our team!
How You’ll Contribute

Provide detailed tolerance analysis of optical systems to ensure performance requirements are achieved during manufacturing
Model imaging performance including errors from optics and camera noise to understand system entitlement.
Work with vendors of standard, OEM, and custom optical components
Diagnose optics related system problems and work with other functional groups to troubleshoot
Design and execute experiments to understand performance limitations and provide input for next generation solutions.
Investigate innovative designs and concepts to support product roadmap
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Education: MSc or PhD in Optics, Physics, or EE
> 5 years of experience with complex optical systems
Experience in design and manufacturing of custom optics
Experience with design software such as Zemax, Oslo, or CodeV
Solid understanding of imaging theory and microscopy
Excellent oral and written communication skills
