To do so, we rely on a dynamic, culturally diverse group of employees, working in more than 100 countries, in a variety of challenging roles.Responsibilities:The Senior Purchasing & Contract Specialist for Technology Sourcing and Vendor Management serves as a procurement resource who is responsible for the acquisition of Information Technology and the management of contracts and agreements related to hardware, software and/or services for FM Global.

They shall collect, evaluate, understand and communicate business requirements involved in such acquisitions.

Additionally, they’ll participate in projects associated with procurement and vendor management efforts.

This position focuses on the content of contracts, financials and negotiations associated with the acquisition of new, and renewal of existing, IT assets and maintenance contracts.

The incumbent is also responsible supporting and communicating internal purchasing and vendor management processes to key stakeholders and 3rd parties alike.

The incumbent works within the Strategy and Business Enablement organization (S&BE), and other business units, to help identify key requirements with appropriate levels of support and maintenance for FM Global’s Information Technology platforms.

They’ll be responsible to negotiate with vendors to obtain favorable contractual terms and acceptable levels of service.

They’ll partner with Finance, Information Security and Legal to ensure appropriateness and all procurement decisions.

The individual in this role supports IT and Product leaders in efforts to identify, source, and acquire information technology assets, supplies, and services that meet specified needs and conform to FM Global’s IT architecture standards.

They also work with these leaders to provide information and recommendations relative to IT expenditures for budgeting purposes, as well as approved standards for the equipment, software, services, and appropriate vendor sources.

They handle purchases and renewal activities associated with various sized contracts.

This role will help to identify improvements to the procurement process and also help to define and contribute to our new vendor management program and associated processes.

Qualifications:Qualifications Experience in all the above 4+ years related experience Proven ability to multi-task and establish priorities.

Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication skills Strong organizational skills.

Education Bachelor’s degree preferred in related in accounting, finance, business, computer science and/or technology.
