About the Job
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to become a valued member of our Global Product Organization.

You will work out of our Orlando, FL Software studio with a great team and our clients in the defence community.
We offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful international team of over 50 developers designing and creating large scale service oriented and distributed applications using technologies like AI, ML, Kafka and other big data solutions for supporting training and exercise management worldwide for the military, emergency, government and private sectors.

In this role you will serve as a Senior Software Engineer and Application Architect in our Orlando team that is growing at a rapid pace.

This implies great opportunities to have an impact on our journey forward in our North America expansion.
You will significantly impact the development of our software and architecture to help execute our long-term vision.

You will be involved in the overall system design and vision based on an integrated, streaming, and micro-services architecture.

We work iteratively as a global team, but your work will also be done in direct cooperation with the customer and our partners depending on the projects you will be assigned.

For the right person there will be opportunities to take on team leadership going forward.

Limited travel is required to support integration activities.

Your Profile
To succeed in this position excellent collaboration skills are needed.

We expect you to be self-driven with high motivation to create solutions that will exceed the customer’s expectations.

The right candidate will work collaboratively with software management to ensure consistent implementation of the software and architecture throughout the development life cycle.

You are skilled in organizing and prioritizing your own work in an efficient manner and have a high level of quality consciousness in the work.

We expect you to have:
As a minimum a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field
4-6 years of experience working as software engineer/developer
Experience in integrating data sources
Great analytical and communication skills
Full stack experience from Java programming with open source libraries and JavaScript with Angular or React
Experience from Unit tests
Knowledge of REST, JSON and related technologies
Furthermore, you also have great skills in
Designing and documenting software solutions
Building large enterprise software systems
Containerization and related tools
Desired but not required competences:
Solution Architecture with experience with Jelastic PaaS Cloud Hosting Platform
Experience or working knowledge from Apache Kafka, Cassandra and/or Spark
Team leadership
Specific experience in delivering software projects to the US Army/DoD knowledge in Military training and doctrines and experience from military simulation systems.
As our customers operate within the military field, US Citizenship is a requirement for the position together with the ability to obtain an DoD SECRET clearance.
