PREMIER is looking for an experienced candidate to join the compliance department.Compliance is responsible for providing an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard LLC”s operations.
Compliance”s purpose is to help management accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of regulatory, control, and governance processes.
Compliance is responsible for the timely execution of risk-based reviews in accordance with the annual approved program, as well as assisting with other regulatory matters and projects.
Compliance will provide management including the Audit Committee and Board(s) with information, advice and recommendations on risks and opportunities.
The position services primarily internal customers in a confidential, professional and ethical manner.Compliance will perform reviews; assess compliance with laws, regulations, policies and procedures; update appropriate review programs; and perform tests and prepare reports.
Compliance will also communicate findings to affected personnel and appropriate levels of management and serves as a resource person in areas of specialization.We support a promotion-from-within philosophy for strong performers!Compensation and ScheduleCompetitive pay based on prior work experiences.Full-time Hours:Monday

– 5:00 p.m.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan the scope of assigned projectsPrepare review program for approval by department manager or VPWill perform the role of mentor to Compliance Assistant, Associate, Coordinator and Analyst I positionsProficient in at least eight major compliance regulationsReview and interpret business processes, rules or regulations and assess riskConduct independent interviews with the business and utilize judgment to probe and ask follow up questions and draw conclusionsAssist in the implementation and training of new processes, rules or regulationsReview workpapers and provide feedbackRepresents the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievancesCarries out major assignments related to the operations of the businessConduct tasks in a manner that complies with all consumer protection regulations and treats consumers fairly.Skills and QualificationsMust possess a strong understanding of Credit Card regulations and operations.Bachelor”s degree preferred and 5 years of credit card industry experience.Demonstrated organizational, confidential and independent work experience necessary.Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required; proficient knowledge of the structure and content of the English language is required, including the meaning, rules of composition, and grammar.Requirements include the capacity to learn and quickly become proficient, adaptability to change, ability to handle stress, exercise self-control, adhere to company policies and procedures, and uphold The PREMIER Way.Culture and BenefitsAt First PREMIER Bank and PREMIER Bankcard, we”ve created a culture that emphasizes personal success, respect, health and wellness, fun and giving back.
