At Houston Methodist, the Senior Application Analyst position is responsible for expert level support and configuration of assigned applications.
The position entails assisting, training and supporting customers and junior analysts with the operation and administration of systems.
The Sr.

Application Analyst works with customers at all levels in the organization to enhance their understanding of available tools to enhance operational efficiencies.

Application Analyst makes recommendations regarding budget projections and project management..
Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions..
Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues..
Actively participate in Epic RTE projects..
Manage multiple concurrent implementation projects as related to Epic..
Research and configure new payor/plan RTE mapping.
Update Interface X12 Message Processor.
Configure RTE batch jobs for payor and self-pay queries.
Create and update Rules, Extensions and Action Lists used in Patient Workqueues, RTE Data Filing, RTE Response Filing and Prelude Confirmation records..
Document build specifications, team processes and complex workflows.
Collaborate with members from other Epic teams to address integration issues..
Meeting with front desk/billing leads to review RTE process and system build for new member installations..
Weekly internal RTE analyst calls for communicating, tracking, and documenting new build/updates.
Work and resolve RTE issues identified during Go-Live and post Go-Live..
Develop and share workflow best practices..
Build, design, test, and document functionality of new RTE features..
Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Dress Rehearsals as needed..

Preferred candidates will have the following:.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar or relevant role..
Certifications/proficiencies in the following, Epic Prelude, Grand Central, and Eligibility..
Prefer candidates familiar with Epic RTE (real time eligibility) specific to the healthcare industry..
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel..

Coordinates and provides problem resolution, technical analyses, costs and resource estimates, work plans, workflow documentation, and progress reports on assigned projects.

Qualifications:.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field or experience working as a licensed clinical or certified IT professional.
An additional four years experience in addition to the experience listed below in lieu of Bachelors or licensed clinical or certified IT professional experience..
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS.
Five years’ experience in IT or clinical or business workflow required.
Experience supporting large scale clinical, ancillary or business environments.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED.
Certification within six month of hire if appropriate to assigned application.
(i.e.
Epic) Epic certification must be maintained..
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED.
Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security.
