This is a Full-time position in Wichita, KS posted September 20, 2021.

Description

We are looking for a night shift (6:00pm-6:00am) Security Specialist to join our Koch Matador Security team. The Koch Matador Security team’s primary responsibilities are to provide a secure environment for the Wichita campus through electronic access control, camera surveillance and patrols, and to provide a variety of security services to remote customers through alarm and video monitoring. Each specialist is expected to exercise good judgement, make quick decisions and be customer focused while providing a safe and secure environment for our employees, contractors, and visitors.

What You Will Do In Your Role

  • Thinking like an entrepreneur and focusing on how to provide the best value to the customer
  • Being a positive influence on your teammates
  • Simultaneously managing access control, alarm, and video systems from a control console
  • Confidently respond to radio, phone, and email requests as well interact with customers
  • Accurately collect and relay information
  • Dispatch officers and coordinate their activities
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of automated security systems
  • Correctly interpret video observations and incoming alarms
  • Perform foot patrols and vehicle patrols as required
  • Respond to medical calls, fire alarms, disturbances, and other emergency situations
  • Review and maintain electronic documents such as call lists, checklists, operating procedures using standard Microsoft Office applications
  • Create accurate and detailed written incident reports

The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements:

  • 1+ years’ experience working in a customer service, security, or military related position
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Able to work a 2nd Shift (2:00pm-10:00pm) schedule
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs such as Word to write business correspondence, Excel for use of spreadsheets, and Outlook for internal and external correspondence
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to change days off, change shifts and work overtime
  • Ability to work outside and in inclement weather
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to obtain certification in First Aid/AED/CPR and willing to administer aid to a sick or injured person
  • Can remain on your feet, standing, walking, and climbing steps, for extended periods
