Security Officer

Perform security duties under the guidance of the Director of Security, Security Manager, Security Supervisor, Team Lead and FTO with the goals of ensuring the protection of property against theft or vandalism; safeguarding of employees and other persons located on Copperstate property and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all fellow officers.

-Works well and effectively with fellow co-workers with enfaces on adaptability -Maintain confidentiality of information that is meant to be confidential while maintaining the highest level of integrity.

-Conduct order fulfillment count as dictated and required -Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Security, Security Manager, Security Supervisor, and/or TTeam Lead(s) and FTOs -Ensure no entry for uninvited guests while assuming Gate post duties, -Know the departments forms for everyday use and completes reports/ Post Logs entries by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; -Attend all required meetings, training sessions and daily shift change briefings; -Effectively use the proper chain of command for issues that may arise;Responsibilities-Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results through adaptability, integrity, initiative, accountability, and communication.

-Perform notifications in accordance with applicable General Orders/SOPs; -Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security of locks and chains; permitting entry via gate post duties -Ensure you are able to report and communicate to management and emergency responders in an effective manner when needed/required; -Know all emergency procedures that are in place for evacuation plans, fire emergencies, or threats to the facility or personnel; -Know the location of the first aid kits, panic buttons, fire extinguishers, AED, and know how to use each; -Communicate with fellow security guards when performing Post duties (every 30 minutes) and when changing Posts; -All security personnel are required to be courteous, pleasant, and professional to all staff, visitors, and contractors;Physical Requirements-Requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, and use of hands; -Occasionally requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull, or push heavy objects or materials; -Frequently stooping, bending, and reaching; -Must work indoors and outdoors year-round; -Must work in noisy and crowded environments; -Must work in hot conditions, and at times with high humidity; -Lift 25-50 pounds from the floor to a waist-high table when necessary; -Crouch & bend often; -Stand for short/ high periods of time; -Sit for short/ high periods of time; -Walk for short/high periods of time; -Occasionally sit on the floor or at floor level; -Handle the responsibilities and routine stress often associated with this position;Working EnvironmentNo description provided.Experience-Must have effective legible written and verbal communication skills.
