Screwman/Screed Operator – Asphalt Paving

Asphalt Screwman/Screed Operator CWM has immediate openings for “Experienced” Asphalt Screwman.
The Asphalt Screwman’s primary function is to adjust the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade and finish.
The Asphalt screed is also responsible for ensuring the consistency of the asphalt mat and the overall ride quality of the finished pavement.
The Asphalt Screed is required to perform daily maintenance on tools and to ensure all tools are stored properly at the end of each shift.
In addition, the Asphalt Screed is expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.
The position consists of but is not limited to the following duties: Installing/removing auto paving electronic; Adding/removing screed extensions; Cleaning excess asphalt off of paver Checking and maintaining grade stakes; Operating rollers, power brooms, tamps, and skid steer loaders, and any other equipment employee is able to operate; Driving pick-ups, flatbeds, water trucks, and sand trucks; The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, stooping and bending.
Employee must be able to climb equipment’s ladder to reach the operators seat.
Position requires periodic lifting up to 50 pounds.
