Safety Coordinator

What Will You Do? 

You will support the efforts of the Safety Department to ensure compliance with regulatory and company safety standards.

S upport the efforts to promote a secure environment for all Ashley employees and Ashley property.

This position will meet with Ashley employees to address safety related issues and conduct safety investigations; maintain safety & training programs and records; develop and facilitate training programs; conduct safety audits.

C ommunicate regularly and work with the Worker’s Compensation Department to review and investigate work-related injury claims.

What Do You Need?

AA degree Degree in occupational health and Safety or related field Required.

Bachelor’s degree highly preferred or equivalent work experience.

6 months’ experience in manufacturing health & safety, Required

First Aid, CPR and AED certification or the ability to obtain with 6 months

Warehouse or Distribution Center experience highly preferred. 

• Experience with OSHA laws and regulations, worker’s Compensation laws (State applicable), accident investigation and Safety audit programs for manufacturing.

• Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools, record Management, read and interpret government regulations, rules, and laws.
