Stable and Expanding Company in Houston Texas looking for experienced Commercial Roofing Foreman.

DESCRIPTION:

Reports to: Superintendent

Description: Supervises and directs the work activities of labor crews on the assigned job site.

Provides hand signals to crane operators and communicates project information and needs to superintendent.

Performs all tasks of a roofer as needed.

Essential Functions:
Basic math reasoning and problem solving techniques Carpentry skills Ability to use and read a tape measure Frequent lifting and carrying 30 – 50 pounds, occasionally more Frequent bending, kneeling and stooping Standing for long periods of time Climbing ladders and working at various heights Ability to work in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) Ability to work overtime as needed (including weekends) Use of power/hand tools, ability to use safely Maintain all OSHA safety guidelines at all times Wear proper PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) Be on time, be responsible and be reliable
Non-Essential Functions:
Set up and take down of ladders Set up of warning lines and safety lines Training of Roofers and laborers as needed Conduct safety meetings with workers (Toolbox meetings) Plan, setup & execute each job assignment with the aid of superintendent if necessary to ensure job is completed properly, on schedule while keeping within the safety guidelines Completion of all job assignment paperwork including timecards Troubleshoot problems that may arise and inform superintendent
Any other duties as assigned by your supervisor/superintendent

Requirements/Qualifications
Work flow keys must be completed at a silver level or higher Must be able to pass the written foreman exam Must be able to perform all essential and non-essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations Must provide own transportation to and from job sites (company truck will be provided for those who qualify) Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, as well as random testing Must provide own hand tools and work boots (steel-toed recommended, but not mandatory.) Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task Basic Computer skills Strong communications skills as you may be required to speak with building owner and/or General Contractors at any given time Working knowledge of OSHA guidelines and regulations as well as CPR/First Aid
Experience:
Commercial Roofing : 3 years (Required)
