Perianesthesia Department, three phases of care:Pre & post has 34 beds providing care for same day surgery patients, inpatients and surgical admitsPost anesthesia care unit (PACU) has 21 beds and cares for 50-80 patients/dayCall requirements are above FTE.This position is eligible for full benefits: medical, HSA, dental, vision, 403b, PTO, Shift Differentials, health & wellbeing resources, tuition assistance & reimbursement and more.
Responsibilities/Job Description: Provides pre and post anesthesia care to patients undergoing invasive procedures requiring anesthesia Assesses/Documents patients according to patient condition and Perioperative PolicyUtilizes Perioperative Services plan of care Evaluates care, adapts interventions and prioritizes care based on patient assessment Qualifications: Required:MN RN Licensure2 or more years nursing experience in Perianesthesia, PACU, or ICU RN with at least 2 years’ experience in hospital based high acuity nursing units (such as Emergency Room, Surgical, Transplant, Intermediate Care/Step Down units) may also be considered.Basic Life Support Certification through Health Care ProvidersPreferred:ACLS and PALS Certification
