About this role

Faire’s Risk team is seeking a highly motivated Fraud Risk Analyst to identify, investigate, and resolve high-risk activity on the platform.

You will present findings and make recommendations to improve internal processes and product controls.

As a founding member of the fraud Risk team at Faire, you will be instrumental in building the discipline at a high-growth company.

What you’ll do 

• Work with leadership to set, assess, and refine a unified fraud management strategy
• Identify gaps in current systems, policies, products and strategies and take actions to mitigate emerging risks 
• Work with teams such as Data Science, Engineering, and Product in order to drive product edits, new feature releases, and reduce financial exposure
• Use analytics to improve existing fraud strategies, to reduce false positives, and increase fraud detection rates
• Build strong internal relationships across partner teams and key internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in financial services, tech, or related industry.

  Prior experience in Risk, Fraud, Credit, or Trust and Safety teams

• Ability to spot patterns from discrete and vague data points (e.g.

  social media, financial data, Faire transactional data)

• Strong analytical, decision-making, and persuasion skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to interact with customers in a clear and concise manner
• Past experience working in a rapidly scaling organization
• Ability to work with others in a closely collaborative team environment, and with remote-based teams
• Passionate, relentless resourcefulness and the ability to thrive at a fast-paced startup –
  – you’re willing to do what needs to be done for the success of your team and you are comfortable with change
• Knowledge of tools like SQL and Excel to drive analytics and reporting
