Overview: The PositionAvison Young is seeking a risk management analyst to support the companys risk management objectives.
The risk management analysts primary responsibility will be to work with Avison Youngs legal department and business professionals for the placement and management of Avison Youngs global insurance program, exploration of alternative insurance products and insurance strategies, and identification and support of risk management practices and procedures.
Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will:Be able to coordinate management of global insurance program, including, coordinating all aspects of insurance renewals, including gathering information from Avison Young business partners, completing insurance applications, reviewing insurance presentations, coordinating renewal issues with applicable brokersOversee claims submission and coordinate with Avison Young counsel and insurance brokers to track claim status, though claim closureAssist in implementation and oversight of risk mitigation measures as identified internally and insurance partnersFacilitate certificate of insurance generation and deliveryReview and assist Avison Youngs Legal Counsel with insurance compliance negotiationAssist in preparation of annual insurance budget and updatesBe an internal resource to assist colleagues with insurance and risk related questions Qualifications: Possess at least 2 years of experience as risk analyst or similar positionStrong interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to work collaboratively with the other attorneys in Avison Youngs legal function and individuals at all levels within the company and individuals outside of the company (including clients and business partners)Ability to communicate (both verbally and in writing) clearly, concisely and timely using plain EnglishStrong attention to detail Our Equal Opportunity Commitment: Avison Young practices as an equal opportunity employer in all services locations around the world.
