Good attendance is required.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Work directly with Lead and RGA admin to repair stock/ rebox / repair or rebuild crates.Will support shipping floor to repair and rebox shipments as needed.
As product is repaired ensure all units are labeled correctly and correct qty prior to moving to putaway area.
Will support other areas as requested to include, putaway, international, Merkle Korff.
The position requires the ability to perform the following responsibilities in a safe, accurate and timely manner in accordance with Safety policy & procedures, Quality & the principles of 3Q6S, and time standards.
Good attendance is required.* All repairs must be to the appropriate condition to be considered ‘NEW’ condition.* Review weekly inventory report / oldest items are to be worked first* Repairs in accordance with return policy* Monitor box level and report needs to lead* All tools to be locked up when not in use and end of day* Load and unload trucks* Repairs in process and not complete are to be moved back to location prior to leaving* Safety* Wear gloves and safety glasses during repair process* Area to always neat and clean* Dumpsters to be dumped dailyEducation & Experience:* High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years successful warehouse/distribution experience.* Capable of obtaining certification to operate Powered Industrial Trucks; ability to maintain certification.* Must be comfortable and willing to use saws and power tools to complete tasksSkills:* Ability to use power tools, air tools, power saws, measure and cut wood for repairing crates.* Must be able to drive sit-down lift, reach truck and order picker.* Ability to work shifts as needed including overtime; month-end availability a must.
Flexibility to work varying shifts is a plus.* Computer literacy to include Warehouse Management Systems and RF.* Communication Skills
– Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.* High degree of accuracy.
Must be able to validate part numbers to pick documents and ensure correct counts are performed.* Regular attendance is an essential part of the job.* Must have the ability to work daily or weekly overtime as needed.* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Physical Demands:Position requires standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, talking in person and by phone or video, visual acuity; the stamina to work the shift as scheduled and on a regular basis, ability to work in a non-climate controlled facility with exposure to heat and/or cold in accordance with weather conditions, lifting large, small or awkwardly shaped items on an occasional, frequent, or continuous basis as needed, and the physical ability to accommodate the use of RF equipment, computers or other electronics during the performance of the job.
