Position Summary:
Boeing is seeking a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to join our F/A18 and EA-18G Programs in St.
Louis, MO.
The Release Train Engineer is a servant leader, coach, and facilitator for a team of agile teams, or an agile release train (ART).
The RTE is an incredibly important role that communicates with stakeholders, facilitates process and execution, escalates impediments, helps the team manage risk, and drives relentless improvement across their organization.

On F/A18 and EA-18G, you will lead a multi-discipline ART which develops, delivers, and support the F/A18 and EA-18G aircraft development.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite, but this position allows for telecommuting .
The RTEs responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART using various tools, such as the Program Kanban and other information radiators
Establish and communicate the annual calendars for Iterations and Program Increments (PIs)
Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre
– and Post-PI Planning meetings
Facilitate PI planning events
Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities
Facilitate periodic synchronization meetings
Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
Assure the correct individuals on the ART own, mitigate, and communicate issues and risks
Escalate and track impediments
Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
Encourage collaboration between teams and System Architects/Engineering
Work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Improve the flow of value through value streams by improving and assessing the DevSecOps and Release on Demand competency
Work with enterprise agile centers of excellence
Drive relentless improvement
Foster Communities of Practice and the use of engineering and Built-In Quality practices
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
An interim and/or final U.S.
Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics is required.
Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
1 or more years of Agile or SAFe Scaled Agile Framework experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of agile or SAFe experience
Prior hands on work with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
Experience with Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets
SAFe Scaled Agile Framework Program Consultant certification
Typical Education/Experience :
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.
PhD, Master+3 years’ related work experience).
In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Travel:
Occasional travel (10%) may be required in support of the program and customer.
