We Are Hiring:Ascension St.
Joseph Hospital is adding to our team of dedicated associates.Join our team as a Radiology Technologist onsite at Ascension St.
Joseph in Tawas in our Diagnostic Radiology department.
This is a Full Time position, 32 hours per week.
Schedule consists of some Day shifts and Afternoon shifts.
Day shifts usually begin at 8am and the afternoon shift usually begins around 12pm.
There is rotating weekend, which is usually once every 5-6 weeks.

Joseph Hospital provides primary, secondary and referral for tertiary care to more than 100,000 patients annually, including 15,000 emergency department visits.What You Will Do:Take radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems.* Prepare and position patients for imaging and select exposure factors accurately.* Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.* Observe patient during procedure and report abnormal activity.
Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.* Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Prevent patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation.* Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).* Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.* Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.* Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.What You Will Need:Licensure / Certification / Registration:* BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.* Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.Education:* High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate’s degree, or Technical degree required.Additional Preferences:No additional preferences.Why Join Our Team:Ascension Michigan employs over 20,000 compassionate caregivers across 16 hospitals and hundreds of related healthcare facilities.
