Work Environment: Has remote possibility of spending time in a yard controlled environment involving inclement weather/ elements.
Job Summary: Office environment consisting of an electronic equipment room in the room 9/11 ramp office.
Job Description: This position is responsible for distributing and tracking all equipment to the 9/11 staff radios, mics, tek logics, cameras, positrac scanners, etc.) Also responsible for validating users and equipment status whether functional or non-functional.
Responsible for ensuring all equipment is distributed and associated to correct individual in TRACS system.
Will ensure that all equipment is checked back into TRACS system.
All defective or broken equipment must be sent for repair and followed up on.
Will ensure the security of all equipment during the shift and will report any security concerns.
Will take all call-ins from 9/11 Ramp during shift and keep management informed.
Will keep secured area neat and clean to prevent damage to equipment.
Track overall ramp staffing for 73+ supervisors.
Key coordinator for new hire placement on crews.
Provide supervisors with list of employees in need of training, coordinate CBT training, answer employee questions during CBT.
Record vacation and approve/deny requests based on allowance for that time.
Prepare reports, track info, and obtain data (must reads, PCM’s, process completed rosters, attendance, quick look and efficiency reports).
Presents/ trains new hires on ramp basics.
May act as coverage for any ramp area needed i.e.
respot yard, can brick, motorpool, dispatch.
Required Skills: Microsoft office
– Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Must be computer literate.
Must be proficient in or be able to quickly grasp GTWOR.
Time and labor, TRACS, GEMS.
Must have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both written and verbal.
Will need to be able to deal with a multitude of individuals waiting on equipment and work quickly and efficiently to supply items needed for the day’s sorts.
Additional Skills: Previous customer service experience helpful since we are dealing with over 100 individuals daily needing equipment and inquiring about staffing issues, etc.
Interpersonal Skills: Must have the ability to interact effectively with other departments and employees.
Must be positive, dependable and have a high level of integrity working in a secure room.
